Lyn Rowbotham, PhD, LMFT -Licensed Psychotherapist License No. LMFT 116002 -Master Life Coach
I specialize in areas of anxiety and depression, addiction and recovery, family, parenting, relationships and communication, also in trauma: including complex, PTSD, single incident and developmental. I consider it a privilege to be invited to work and collaborate with my clients as they face the challenges
and transitions in their lives. My focus is to empower you to live with authenticity and to thrive in all relationships, including the one with yourself.

My practice is grounded in an evidence-based, cognitive behavioral approach. Positive Psychology is also applied to grow resiliency, increase wellbeing, and to develop skills to address future stressors. I integrate the best and most recent research findings with my clinical expertise, taking into account the strengths, natural creativity, characteristics and cultures of my clients. The work we do together will always be individually tailored, respectful of emotional safety, trust, and honesty.

I have my PhD in Psychology and I also hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with a minor in Child Development. I completed an extensive four-year clinical internship in crisis management and trauma in 2007, after which I went on to add another 4,000 hours of clinical supervision. While living in England I went to art college and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting.
